There comes a time in every felines life where he has to face his worst fear- to be immersed in a tub of water and scrubbed to remove the adventures of the month . I wouldn’t recommend trying to bath your cat unless its absolutely necessary. With my himalayan Toulouse being the exception, all of the cats I have bathed (aka about 3) most of your furry friends won’t take kindly to being washed. If you do chose to bath your cat, be prepared for nerve twisting shrieks and meows, having every bottle of shampoo ripped from the sides of your tub, and at least three scratches somewhere on your body.
However, there are some benefits to giving your cat a bath. They come out all wet and pitiful so they let you coddle them like babies. Also, once dry the cat’s fur is softer and smells nice. And perhaps the most rewarding aspect is the hilarious pictures that you get to take of said cat’s misery. Also they look like giant rats until they dry.
